9/13/2000 LAS VEGAS -- University Theatre at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas will hold auditions for Eric Kaiser's play "Charge" and the Fall One-Act Play Festival Saturday, Sept. 30, 2000, in the Paul Harris Theatre.
"Charge," which will have its world premiere Nov. 10, is a comedy about a couple who spend their lives in bed programming technological characters to entertain them. Performances in the Black Box Theatre at UNLV will be at 8 p.m. Nov. 10, 11, 16, 17 and 18 with 2 p.m. matinees Nov. 12 and 19. The production, directed by Jeanette Farr, needs two men and three women.
The Fall One-Act Play Festival consists of three plays.
Jason Martin's "Fall From Grace" directed by Chris Mann has a man dangling from the side of the cliff after a rock climbing accident. When he gets no answer from his partner, he doesn't know if he is all alone or how to get off the mountain.
Chris Mann's "Smells Like Rain" will be directed by Nate Bynum. Two upper middle class couples play cards and talk about everything except what really matters.
The third play in the festival is Kim Moore's "To Insure Perfection" directed by Jennifer Corelli.
Performances for the Fall One-Act Play Festival will be at 8 p.m. Oct. 25, 26, 27 and 28 and at 2 p.m. Oct. 29 in the Paul Harris Theatre at UNLV.
Those wishing to audition will need to sign up for an audition time in the Department of Theatre Offices located in the west end of the Carlson Education Building by the Sidewalk Cafe.
