17/10/2000 Nevada Gaming Control Board approves VendingData Corporation mobile drop collection system VendingData Corporation announced today the receipt of product approval for the SecureDropMobile Scale System from the Nevada Gaming Control Board. The SecureDrop Mobile Scale System is a mobile drop collection system that allows gaming operators to collect both data and coin on the casino floor. The SecureDrop Mobile Scale System helps gaming operators improve their accounting accuracy, reduce labor and reduce losses due to theft by electronically tracking all slot drop buckets, electronically measuring and recording slot revenues and bringing a mobile count room to the casino floor. President and CEO of VendingData, Steve Blad promises: ?Our system will revolutionize the way casinos handle slot revenues, a process which has remained the same for the last forty years.? According to VendingData, the system allows casinos to efficiently process coin on the casino floor, provides significant labor savings and also reduces the amount of time and labor required for a drop. SecureDrop Systems feature an electronic bucket which utilizes a proprietary iButton memory chip to identify the slot machine each collection bucket is placed under and to record the times the bucket is replaced and removed from the machine. The bucket works in conjunction with the mobile scale and on-board computer and software system which electronically weighs and calculates coin revenue. SecureDrop Systems enable gaming operators to choose from multiple platforms, depending upon their individual needs. Products range from a simple slot drop bucket inventory system to more advanced systems that will gather information from multiple slot meters and run appropriate accounting reports. The SecureDrop Systems are currently being installed in numerous casinos worldwide. |
