2/5/2002 February 05, 2002 The city's best craps weekend is back, as the California Hotel & Casino holds its sixth Annual Golden Arm Reunion April 25 to April 29!
The weekend marks the gathering of the exclusive "Golden Arm Club," and the induction of 20 new members, who during the past 12 months accomplished, runs at the Cal by holding the dice in excess of one hour!
The initiation includes a gala cocktail party under the canopy of the Fremont Street Experience, with the inductees receiving "stars" on Fremont Street.
The weekend draws craps players from around the nation, resulting in hot non-stop dice play throughout the weekend.
The club, which boasts about 150 members, began in 1989, when the late Stanley Fujitake ran a Cal table, holding the dice for 3 hours and six minutes. Over the years, Fujitake accomplished the feat four times, and became the first of just four members to reach "platinum" status in the club. |
