RIO ANNOUNCES NEW "MASQUERADE SHOW IN THE SKY"

LAS VEGAS, NEV. - Effective February 9, 2002, The Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino will re-launch the "Masquerade Show in the Sky," with a new production company. The show will be modified, with emphasis on new choreography, unique specialty performers and an increased schedule.

"We are building on one of our most spectacular entertainment attractions," said Tom Jenkin, senior vice president and general manager of the Rio. "The show will be bigger, sexier, more geared toward adult customers and more aligned with our overall advertising campaign."

Under the new direction of Dick Foster Productions (producer of long-running Las Vegas shows "Spellbound" and "Imagine"), the new "Masquerade Show in the Sky" will be expanded to include 30 performers (from a previous 22), with an increased schedule of performances, seven shows a day, seven days a week.

"I am thrilled to be the new producer of one of Las Vegas' most beautiful and creative show concepts," said Dick Foster. "The Masquerade Show in the Sky" is already a huge draw for Las Vegas visitors … we will take it to the next level in 2002."

Utilizing state-of-the-art technology, world-class performers and top set and costume designers, the new "Masquerade Show in the Sky" will invite guests to take part in a live celebration of Carnivale. With extravagant parades, exotic masks and costumes, the show will consist of four complete parades, each with a different theme, music and choreography.

Fully interactive, the show offers guests the opportunity to actually perform in a live Las Vegas production. Guest "stars" may perform in costume aboard one of the famous parade floats, a unique and memorable experience for any Las Vegas visitor.
